Make your own traditional dyed eggs!

Our 2024 Spring "Wednesday Workshops" arts education series kicks off with Egg Batik on Wednesday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. with Instructor Cheryl Bannes.

This method of decorating eggs for spring and Easter has been used for centuries throughout Europe. Using heated wax, designs are drawn on eggs and then dyed. This process is repeated with several colors of dyes and can take several hours.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of traditional Egg Batik. Each participant will have the opportunity to make up to 3 eggs. Eggs will be done in the traditional method: we will be dying raw eggs.

All materials will be supplied. Participants should bring an egg carton or similar to take eggs home.

Cost $30 | Max 10 attendees
