Barn Quilt Workshop with Cindy Haffner

Join us for an immersive Barn Quilt Workshop led by the talented artist Cindy Haffner on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.

Cindy Haffner, a self-taught artist from rural Rose City, has been creating vibrant barn quilts since 2014. Her work has adorned numerous barns and homes, adding a splash of color and heritage to the landscape. Cindy's passion for barn quilts began after seeing quilt designs on buildings in magazines, inspiring her to bring this art form to her own rural region.

In this comprehensive workshop, attendees will:

• Design and Paint your own 2’ x 2’ barn quilt, perfect for indoor or outdoor display.
• Learn Techniques for layout, taping, and painting to create crisp lines and vibrant patterns.
• Discover the History and significance of barn quilts in rural America.

All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!
